Remembering Our Loved Ones

My aunt, Marie Françoise Camélia Lohier, co-founded the Little Sisters of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Little Brothers of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus. She always saw the best in people and believed in forgiveness and unconditional love. I remember that she forgave somebody several times, even after proof that the person stole from her. She had a heart like no other. As a fervent follower of Jesus, she would do whatever she could to help others, deeply respecting and valuing the inherent dignity of every human being created in the image of God.

In loving memory of my sister, Immacuala Latortue Lohier 1967-2024:
We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of my beloved sister, Immacula Lohier Latortue. As one of her closest brothers, I can attest to her faith, kindness, and generosity towards everyone. She pursued a career in nursing to help others. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, wife, and friend. I will always remember the courage she showed in standing up for me when I was bullied in elementary school. She never wanted to burden anyone, but she was always ready to help those in need. Her smile and her humor could light up a room.
Her humility, acts of kindness, and selflessness have left an indelible mark on all she encountered, and she will always be remembered for them.
We turn to God the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit in this time of grief. May His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Revelation 14: 13 -Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
